My full name is mystically long and unpronounceable...just ask anyone here :D Therefor I shall remain just "Ben" and you shall remain "neB" for it is a good name and you should be happy I didn't name you "snarfenhagen" or some such :D

Ben, it looks like you displayed your name in your native language just now. I noticed on the UMich school directory that your name begins with "Khalid," is that correct? As a Taiwanese-born American, I have always been so fascinated with authentic pronunciations and such... so I'd really like to hear how your native name is pronounced sometime! And, if you are alright with it, try to learn it myself. Not necessarily to use, but just for knowledge's sake.

DM intervention! A good reminder that this is not a democracy, but rather a universe ruled by its omniscient, omnipotent creator. You're mostly correct. I don't know if it can really be called "my" native language, since I barely know anything in it. The pronounciation is actually really difficult, even I can't do it unless my throat is just right, since I've grown up speaking only English. It is kind of like the Kh sound, but it's kind of like how a lot of language roll their r's. Actually you could almost call it a rolled Kh.

I am very tempted to stretch my DM intervention across the entire board (pun intended) and correct the "it's." But I'm learning to be less anal and on people's backs, hehe.

Hmmm, interesting! Does the "Kh" resemble a really throaty sound? (Don't know how to describe it beyond that)

Yeah, that kind of a sound. I should pay more attention, it's just that its is an exception to keep from mistaking it with the conjunction it's, so I didn't catch it, all fixed now though. So Rasa has been called saRa before? Agreeing with abuse of my name returns the same treatment, eye for and eye and all that.
